Kildare Rock bands

    Hiya,

    There is a project I am working on at the mo..and what I need is a list of current Irish bands (mainly indie but all bands will do) who have some connection with county Kildare.

    I know sounds strange ;)

    anyway in terms of connection, I mean even if one member is from Kildare etc.

    Anyway I know Bell XI and Damien Rice and Christy Moore are from Kildare, but anyone know anyone else of hand?

    There's ****loads of younger Kildare bands that are doing well for themselves at the moment:

    Isohels
    Kill City Defectors
    Band on an Island
    Miracle Bell
    Myokhotel
    Reemo
    Super Extra Bonus Party

    etc etc

    Dunno any more "famous" bands / musicians from Kildare though.

    There's some good stuff in terms of new bands, but Kildare also seems to have, being so close to Dublin, picked up some of its worst traits, of a smug, enclosed community of "musos". Granted, it's not every band or musician, but its visible sometimes...
