After moving into a new apartment with the missus and there is less space than in the old place so I decided to sell my Sony Wega 26" CRT and matching stand and buy an LCD.

I work in an electronics store and as computers are more my thing I took the advice of the HiFi guys and bought a Panasonic TX-32LX70L 32" LCD. I have to say that so far I'm rather impressed with it.
I have lots of DVD's and I was fully prepared for the missus to be rather less than impressed and complain about the pixelation when watching a DVD but there really isn't any to talk of. Watching a DVD through RGB scart or component is almost as good as my trusty old CRT. Even watching digital TV through an RGB scart cable is superb, I'm amazed at the lack of pixelation.

Unfortunately at the moment I don't have any HD content, no HD Player or HD games console (though that should change at some point in the next few months hopefully), so I can't wait to see how it looks on the display. Does anyone know of any downloadable high quality 720p material as my laptop as a HDMI output?

The styling is very cool in silver and black and certainly much nicer than the previous model, and audio is rather impressive too.

All in all, I'm rather happy. For standard definition conten it's performed much better than I have seen other LCD's do in the past and I can't wait to get my hands on some HD equipment and see what it can do.

Can anyone tell me is there any disadvantages in purchasing a TX-32LXD700
model for use in the republic apart from the fact that it doesn't have a vhf tuner. Thanks
