    Hey guys,

I know this is not a medical board, iM just looking for other girls opinions, and what they normally do.

Im on Yasmin now for the last year or so, and I set about 7pm to take it every day. But generally I take it anywhere between say 6-10/11. I was talking to my friend about this, and she said that no its doing me no good for protection if I dont take it bang on the same time everyday??

What do other girls do? Exact same time everyday? I just take it when I remember, cause sometimes im busy in work and dont get a chance to.

Oh We use a condon aswell, to be extra extra careful against pregnancy, in case you were wondering :)

As far as I know if you're on the mini pill you *have* to take it at the same time every day or you're not protected, whereas if you are on the combined pill so long as you take it within a 12 hour period you are protected.

Personally, I take my pill every morning when I get up so except for at weekends it's usually at almost exactly the same time.

That said, if you have any doubts at all about the contraceptive pill you are taking you should go and talk with your GP or pharmacist

Do I need to take it at the same time every day?

Yes, morning or evening, it's up to you, but you do need to get into a regular routine of pill-taking.

If you forget to take your pill, you'll still be protected if you take it up to 12 hours later - but it's wise not to do this too often.

For more specific advise, go to your doc or contact the company - anyone who tells you anything here is only dealing with half the story.

if you can not take it when required talk to your gp about alternatives.
