NTL & Video sender

I'm looking to get a video sender to use with NTL. I have the silver NTL box, not the really small one, the one before that. Does anyone know if this works with all video senders or will I need one that sends IrDA?

If it is IrDA, can anyone recommend a cheapish video sender? I'll probably only use it for NTL.

FWIW, there is no possibility to get an NTL point to my bedroom, video sender is the only option I have.

I think the DigiSender works with NTL. I see there's a comment from an NTL user in the UK on Amazon for this video sender claiming it works with the box. Perhaps it will also work here. Argos stocks this video sender also [p. 354 of current catalogue]. The X4 model has a tick beside it for 'cable' [referring to NTL more than likely]. Perhaps someone else can recommend another video sender. It should work unless NTL uses some really unusual IR equipment in the box.

    IRDA is the problem.

I don't think NTL use that here (except on their first generation of STBs) the only reason I was concerned is that the NTL PVR may use IRDA and I want to be future proof.

I bought the one in the Argos Cat p354 no:1 "Total Control Av Sender" €65.29. Worked a treat and changes channels. Not sure if it has IRDA, I am using the latest Pace decoder DC221KN
