    Hi all,

I read recently some people looking liquid egg protein in Ireland. Unfortunately it can't be got at the min unless you order it and then yo have the problem of it going off while in a long transit.

Is there much demand for liquid egg protein in general? If so Pro-Nutrition can bring it in in bulk and store it in fridges here. It would be from eggnation so the quality would be great. But before we go there, how do people feel about egg protein and do people think there is a market for it here?

    Opinions?

Jon, just so as to understand the product, and it's potential market here, would you be able to answer the below. I'm not familiar with the product.

    - is there anything different in this product than simply buying eggs and seperating them yourself ? Is it quite simply - seperated egg whites in a container ?
    - Is there a cost advantage to buying this product over say a tray of eggs containing the same amount of protein ?
    - How long will it stay fresh in the fridge ?

    Thanks

I for one have absolutely zero interest in this product. Would it not be cheaper and handier to have a protein shake instead?

What if you got some Albumin(dried egg protein)? It would be easier to ship, handle, store and use..and presumably would be alot cheaper.

I ve heard from eggnation that about every 6 weeks they do drop a delivery to Dublin, some of the guys from www.muscletalk.co.uk who live in Dublin take advantage of this.

I would be very interested in the purchase of egg whites, however i am based in Tipperary.

on eggnation 4 litres is about €30 (£20.80), and at 33eggs per litre that is 11 dozen eggs.

I think you can get eggs in tescos 12 for €1.50, so it is about twice the price to get the eggnation ones.

I wouldnt be surprised if some catering supplier does it here. I know resturaunts do get pastuerised liquid egg in dublin, dunno about separated.

They've been onto us here to set up an Irish base for them, not sure if its worth while though.

I reckon if word got around, there would be plenty of demand for them. Id happily buy in bulk.

gonna sound like a geek here but would they be free range based? I go through nearly 2 and half dozen of them a week and they're expensive!

One advantage to egg protein now is that whey is gone up world wide, which means in the next few weeks you will see a fair mark up in the prices of certain protein powders.

so your saying stock up:D actually slightly off topic, how much would a 4lb tub of casein typically cost?

When I first started using protein to supplement 2 yrs ago I was fooled into Tony Quinn's crap until I discovered this forum.

Casein is quite expensive in comparison. It would cost around 50 odd. Olimp special night time formula is taking the lead with the slow release proteins - 49.99 for 3.2kg's

that's pretty good, think I may be getting one of them next time I'm out by that way.

On the liquid egg protein, if enough serious bb's, pl's knew about it they'd buy it in my opinion.

Would it be a good idea to discuss this with other BB forums such as www.buildingabody.com and www.muscletalk.co.uk

Great idea, you can be our boards representative. You'll get a badge and lunch box and most importantly a panic button - if its hot and heavy i them other forums just push it and daveirl will have whisked back to safety! :D

Seriously though it would be a good idea to seek it out.
