I was reading the monthly Sky Magazine and noticed a station called Five US! I was wondering if this is a new channel or is it the same as Channel 5 and does anybody know if Channel 5 is available on Sky in Ireland?

It is only available on a FTV card over here .

Not the greatest of channels ,I haven't really watched it but everytime I put it on there seemed to be Happy Days on.

to expand the previous answer just a little with all due respect

Five, Five US, Five Life can be received if you stick a Freesat card into your Sky box.

They can be received using a free-to-view [FTV] card. Has Freesat launched yet? I've had my head buried in the sand for a few weeks.

Channel 5 isn't on the Irish EPG. It's encrypted on satellite. You'd need a UK FTV card. Lots of threads in the archives on that one. If you lived near the border or along the east coast, you might pick it up on analogue or even freeview.
