Vaginal bleeding

    Hello,
Im 19 and Im seeking advice about a problem that I have. For the past 15 days I have had vaginal bleeding. The bleeding has been in small amounts like it is in the beginning or end of the period(dark coloured blood). Also, lately I have been sexually active and have noticed that after intercourse there is some blood on the bed and condom. I believe that this could be caused by the pill (Microlite) that I am taking because I read in the instructions that it could be possible to bleed while taking the pill until you are used to it. Also, in the last 2 months I accidently forgot to take the pill twice so now I am taking the pill for the third time and was wondering if this could be the cause. The bleeding is worrying me alot lately and I would appreciate any advice. Thanks.

IIRC "spotting" or "breakthrough bleeding" is certainly possible while on the Pill - at least Microlite. That's the one I was on when I was on the Pill. To be honest though, I would really urge you to go to your doctor about it as soon as possible. It might be - probably is - absolutely nothing, but no-one here can give you medical advice, and you need to see your doctor to get real answers.

As for having to go 3 months without taking a break - there's no reason why that should cause this, tbh. When I was on Microlite I was ridiculously absent-minded, and at one point was on it for 7 months straight!

The other - I must stress very slight - possibility is that having missed a couple of pills you weren't protected, got pregnant, and are now miscarrying due to the effects of the pill. This is another reason it's important to see your doctor, just to rule that out.

The condom thing happened when I slept with someone, first time I thought she'd been a virgin....

Seriously though Doctor will have the best answers

Sorry but go to a doctor - anything else is just idle speculation

    Go to doctor.

If you want, phone your local maternity hospital now and explain your situation and get het advice of a professional.

Phone your GP in the morning, again explain the situation and get an appointment tomorrow.

Not medical board - go to doctor.
