Wonderful sky. However I cannot see what lies beneath.

Exactly! ;) I can show you but that would be boring.

Summer indeed! Nice silhouette, the window frame is great. Fantastic clouds too. And I like how the modern aerials on the houses contradict the old castle(s). Great stuff!

I can see the tiniest bit of detail in the shadow danny, could you up the contrast that tiny bit more to make it pure black?

Ah! Feck. I'll have to send the Spyder back!!! It's back in the oven Al. Should be ready in 5 minutes. With Flickr having changed their system I'll have to update the link too. Why dont you leave me alone!! ;):D

    I want a 5D :(

Love to see this in print... what a sky!

Is it my monitor that's showing me green in the dark bits of the clouds? I hate web viewing, grrrr

You know what you can do with yourself ya Waterford........... Jazus!! I'm leaving it alone. Maybe another time. If you didn't see the first one you would never have noticed!! ;)

Julie, I don't see green. Maybe a hint of turquise. Download it and have a look in PS and let me know. Colour was never my strong point.

    Thanks lads for the comments.

Don't see any green in it myself.

What's wrong with Waterford? There's a few of us here now Danny! :D

Lovely image! The window frame in the church/castle/ruin of a building is what makes it.

Have you considered maybe cropping the top of the sky off? There's that large black looming corner, and most of the drama in the sky is found below its dark ceiling.

Addendum, because for some reason it won't let me edit:

I don't mean cut the whole sky off, but just the very top-most layer of dark sky that doesn't have much variation in it.

Nothing wrong with waterford.....I was talking about you ;)

Xiney: I kind of like the menacing black. To me it gives the feeling of the thunder which was in the distance. The crop would probably work as well though. Thanks.

Addendum too: Yes I think you are right. Off to a table quiz now and will give it a lash later.

What a summer sky. Very dramatic.

That's it, I'm going to head out that way this weekend. It looks like a lovely area and I've done the animal shots for the time being.

Brilliant photo, love the sky - just captures the moody June we've had. :)
