I did the dirty deed last night and ordered
a full scale metal replica AEG from
Hong Kong. I am waiting for them to process the
order and let me know what the final payment will be.
They said dont pay them until they get back to me.
(So waiting and checking my email every ten mins)

    http://www.uncompany.com/
    King Arms FN FAL (KA-AF-02_C)

I may need some help at a later date with regards
    to batteries and chargers etc.

Its bound to get customs rattled being Metal and Gun shaped!!!!!
Should I expect any hassle from the LAW trying to break down my
door thinking I am some Kinda nut-case and thinking I am
trying to smuggle or chancing my arm with
getting something real into the country ???

Kinda makes me a little un-easy getting its via post considering
I'm a real gun owner already and I do historical fencing and used to collect Militeria when I was younger so with all the bits and bobs I have picked up over
the years from collecting different things it may make me look like some
kind of nut-job! should I have have to get a visit from de law.
Knock Knock...hello Mr. X why have you got all those swords, daggers, the
german army helmet and all those bullet casings lying about the place.....
by the way about that FN your ordered from Hong Kong....... out with
the handcuffs...oh wait we will use yours....

well done, gotta say its addective as hell buying aegs its like pringles, anyway Law wise once its below th eijoule limit its 1005 legal no worries there. battery and chager can be easy enough sorted i'd recomend getting them asap other wise you have a very pretty paper weigh.

Don't worry about the fuzz, with the amount of stuff i buy on-line relating to just about about anything with a point you shouldn't have a problem at all. if customs do interviene worst you'll get asked to do is to provide you gun license at which point you quote the law and pay your import tax bobs your mothers brother, one very attractive FAL.

    BTW nice choice :)

i have ordered from uncompany before and had no problems with the law. the only way i think that you would have problems is if you start running around in public with it

you shouldn't have too much hassle, there are actually only a few things customs have to check on these things, and they've seen a good few come through now so it's getting easier these days.

we're writing up a guide of little things you can do to help things come through that bit more quickly with customs - could take a wee while to get it entirely sorted as there's other stuff taking the front seat at the moment, but it's on the way.

I got an 8.4v mini?? battery pack from the MP5 AEG that I bought
last week that I can use if I need it until I get the right pack for the
FN. I had intended the FN as a wall hanger so its a bonus if it fires
    BB's!

I have many found memories of the FN and wanted that exact specific
version of it. The front sights Post protectors are hollow which is different
to the one I used to use years ago in the FCA. Also there is no genade launcer
sights on it which is a minor thing as many of the plastic stocked versions
did not have them and had different gas regulators on them.

Have an old pic of me with the same FN I used to always/mostly use
back in the early 90's (either 92 or 94) I really loved fireing
that rifle. I had memorised the serial number so every time I was
away with the reserves I made sure If I could to get the same one.
In 92/93 we were just starting to get the plastic stock versions in and
the older wooden stocked SLR's were disappearing:

Ah good buy lad... I actually wanted that version for the same reason. I used it in the fca (and I always used the same rifle too because the armourer had zeroed it for me) but they shipped the tactical carbine version instead.

Although that wasn't the one I wanted, it was worth more than the one I ordered so I can't complain.

Yeah I was wondering why some of them were 400 or more USD
and the other were only 305-350 USD. The look the
same apart form length of handgrip the flash elimanator and the
stock so it made me wonder what the price difference was for?

Ordered it last night. Have not heard back from them since to
confirm final price but I'm in no rush.

nice rifle but i have to warn you its gonna be difficult to upgrade. another aeg fan tried to take apart the FAL so he could upgrade it but it was hard as trying to disassemble a jumbo jet. heck he didn't even finish taking it apart so i would recommend you to leave it in stock form. but a really nice gun gotta to love a good old FAL even though i am a Armalite fan.

The King Arms Fal shoots 1 joule stock. Why would he want to upgrade it? Are you advocating upgrading something over 1 joule again?

Heard back from them today and made my payment.
Dunno if they send out a tracking number or not.

Did not know what battery would fit as it
    said a 3000mAh 8.4v Large type.
They did not have any 3000mAh
I got the following with it hopeing the
physical size of the battery back would
be the same and still fit:
    Product name - Intellect-3600mAh-8.4V
Product name - BOL BASIC-01 Charger

If I get hooked on buying these eventually
I'll have enought to try a skirmish with a
    few friends.

I have a 3700mAh Intellect Large-Type battery and it's slightly longer than a my 3000mAh battery (about 3-4mm). You may need to make a minor adjustment in the stock so it can hold the battery.
