AEG Advice

Went down to HRTA today for the first time and had great fun, so I've decided to get my own AEG. I'm looking at an MP5 SD6.



I've checked out http://www.wolfarmouries.co.uk and I can get:

• €224 - TM MP5 SD6
• €150 - 2 Battery Starter Pack

The starter pack includes 2 batteries, a charger, a HI-CAP magazine, 3000 bbs and a can of silicon spray. In addition I was looking at a quick release scope mount and red dot scope on an american site. Comes to about €50 minus shipping.

So €430 (exl. shipping/customs) for:

• MP5 SD6
• 1 Standard Mag
• 1 Hi-Cap Mag
• 2 Batteries
• Charger
• 3000 bbs
• Silicon Spray (?)
• Scope Mount
• Red-dot scope

Does this sound in any way reasonable?

No, that sounds like an absolute rip off. Do NOT buy a thing from wolf. They bleed your bank account dry. Nice looking site though!

Wolf is not your best bet. Try WGCShop, Uncompany or chinese clones on www.rsov.com. Chinese mostly arent super but are €50+. You can get a JG G36C for €106 shipped from rsov

BTW, how you gonna mount the red dot?

There are cheaper UK sites, The one I use will have anything shipped to your door in 2 working days and since its in the EU, no customs.

Okay. Your best option (and cheapest) is importing a Toyko Marui from China. It'll be delivered in more or less the same timeframe as from the Uk. (Okay, maybe a little longer...4-5 working days)

UNcompany.com have a good selection of mp5s. Anyone on here who has ordered from them has been more than happy.

They're selling the Tokyo Marui SD6 for 209 dollars. which is.........154 euro

Or you can get a CA SD6 with a metal body, with or without a built in tac light and mag for a good bit more than a TM.

Even if you do get snagged for customs charges (which you may not) it'll still work out cheaper.

Actually, the money he was willing to spend on a TM from wolf could go toward a CA from China instead. Nice idea.

Think I'll go with uncompany. €210 (ex shipping) for the MP5, battery, charger and two 200-round mags. They estimate shipping at around €50, for a total of €260. If i get hit for 21% vat will that be charged on the sale price only or will it include the shipping cost? Are there any other fees that might be charged for importing?

Get MAG 90rd mid-caps. They dont jam, you get 8 in a box, you can get 8 for the price of 2 hi-caps and they will last forever. HIGHLY reccomended.

260? That's the same amount my Famas cost me. I think it was over the 400 mark from wolf too.

The VAT It includes the postage. Very annoying.

The only other fee is a handling one by customs. Which is usually around a tenner or so.

Hopefully it gets through without. You never know. Even still, it'll be quite a saving compared to UK stores.

Grrrr- turns out the site I was gonna order the scope mount and scope from doesnt ship outside the US. Having some trouble finding the same mount on other sites. Anyone know where I can pick up a quick release scope mount that will fit a TM mp5?

as said already - dont buy from wolf, its a good dite to see wats availabe but they are rip off prices.

anything like scopes or mounts id try ebay, i got great scopes ect for f all, a 3 point sling for 60 cents, 5 quid postage, stuff like that. so its worth thr wait for honkong buys!
so if your shopping around go with ebay before any of them uk sites, its well worth it
