Hi there, To recruit a contractor or a permanent employee, how much would it be through a agency roughly ? I guess this would also depend on the skills, experience ? Any input much appreciated, thanks

dependent on the agency you'd be looking at anywhere between 10 + 25% of gross annual salary. The higher the salary and the more skilled the role the higher the percentage is likely to be.e

It isn't that bad actually. I've seen examples from €100 to €1000. The higher the position, the higher the reward generally.

i remember hearing 17% of the salary for the recruitment agency we used at work ( or were thinking of using, luckily the same candidate applied through jobs.ie which is only 100quid for his cv or something)

It depends on the agency.
Basically with contractors it is whatever margin they can make.

They should tell you the margin and it will pay to shop around.
