K.O. Martial Arts is MOVING!

After an exhaustive search for a full time premises for K.O., I have finally managed to secure the perfect unit for our needs. The new gym will be located just 1.5k from where we are now in Glasnevin Business Centre at the top of the Ballyboggan Road, near Broombridge train station. The first classes will be on Tuesday night.

I'm pretty damn excited about it. Where we were was great but the hours we could train were limited, there were limits on the amount of equipment we could have their etc etc. But most of all it wasn't ours and that's just what this is- our home.

Anyway, a few of us were moving the stuff in today and getting the matted are set up and the place is starting to take shape. Its a way off but when it's finished it will have a 700sq.ft matted area, dressing rooms with showers, padded walls, bags, pads and gloves, weights, as well as a few other "surprises" that I can't say yet cos I'm not 100% on them!

When it's all done and dusted I'll hold an MMA open night similar to the one we held before so that people can come visit and have a look. Also there may be a bottle of champagne and a wine and cheese reception to kick things off... actually sorry no, we'll pop a pint bottle of bulmers and have some cheddar sandwiches and coke:D

I'll post up some photos and directions and stuff soon.

Unit 6 Glasnevin Business Park (nextdoor to Glanevin Business CENTRE, where we are) is a place called Barry's Balloons.... lots of people found themselves there last night having taken the wrong turn, and thought it was a piss take.

I was one of them....I just kept thinking this is the WORST name for a gym ever!:D

Seriously though the gym is looking well & I'm sure when it's all finished it'll be excellent.
