I'm not a member but I spent an hour or two up there one morning. Facilities are fantastic but, like yourself, I'm wondering is there any point in joining. It's €75 to join but as far as I can tell all that gets you is a bit of a discount off the cost of using the various areas.

For example, 30 mins in the short game area (chipping greens and bunker practice green) is €10 for non members and €5 for members. I think there's a discount on buckets of range balls too.

Personally, for €75 plus whatever I'd spend up there I think I'd get more valuable practice out of a few cheap rounds of golf. If there was a worthwhile discount on lessons I'd probably join for a year and practice hard and try a lesson a fortnight for a while, but as it stands I can't really see the point.

Im a member there, I think it is worth it. They send out offers now and again, currently I have a free practice hour on the short game area (very handy) and so far I've played the monty course twice this year, once for €50 and the other for €40(or 35). Both times I got a non member to play for the same price also ( very nice) - once was a Sat and the other a Sun

Now while the offers are not garenteed(sp) in any way they do happen now and again(usually if the practice grounds have to be closed). So there is an element of risk, but at this stage for me, the savings on offers has been more then the cost of membership.

Also I **think** all Intel employees get 10% off (show badge)

I was up there the other day - membership is €120 for the year - you get 50% off range balls which means that for 3 euro a visit you get 65 balls.

Putting green is free for members and short game area is - according to guy behind desk - going to be reduced to €6 per hour.

    Was thinking of joining too

That just means the place is worth it!

Didn't get that impression when I was there but would well believe it.

was up there last night and heard a rumour from a member that they are introducing a limited number of exclusive memberships.

full access to the facility - no charge for range balls, short game area etc and a 15% reduction on lessons. also a reserved grass teeing area and other bits and pieces for €2,000 per year.

Seems OK value but only if you are there every single day of the year!

Other membership will be available again I've been told very soon.
