Just checked the Creative site, firmware for both sizes of the Vision M have been released 25-Jun

    60GB
    Here

    30GB
    Here

Does not say anything about upgrading the FM Radio recording function on the 60GB, even though it can be done on the 30GB version

I love it when new firmware comes out, you get all excited thinking about all the new features that they might have added, then you realise the firmware was released to fix some obscure bug that you've never come across before :(

Have it DL'ed and I'm hoping the 60GB f/w update will add the FM radio recording function. But it does not say if it does in the release notes... Hhhhmmm

My understanding is that the 30GB model was advertised/sold as having the
radio recording function but this was not the case with the 60GB model.
Creative removed it from a previous version of the 30GB firmware due to
issues with people recording and uploading radio content. They had to
reintroduce the capability with the next firmware update for the 30GB models
as it was one of the features when sold. From what I've read the 60GB model
is unlikely to receive the feature.

The firmware for the 60gb basically gets rid of the loading time when you turn it on. Takes about 2 seconds for the menu to appear once you turn the player on, which is quite a handy update.

is there a limit to the file size of videos you can upload onto the vision M 30gb?

I have a few music videos (single songs) on it but it doesn't seem to take anything over 5 mins long. I wanted to upload a few gigs but not having any luck so far. File extensions seem to be ok and I have plenty of memory but it still doesn't work.

I was looking forward to watching full gigs but now I'm just throwing on random short video clips :(

What's the biggest individual file? I regularly upload video files of about 350mb. Are yours in the right format for the player?

None that I am aware of. I have successfully uploaded a ~2GB movie onto mine with no problem.

This is the biggest one I tried to throw on it.
First file is 711mb .wmv file
    70773434mp1.jpg

I then converted that in winAVI converter to a 674mb .avi file

    50909480lq4.jpg

but neither file will go on. :(

Could be the pixel size, it doesn't like anything too big.

There's an option to crop the video size to fit the Zen on its own converter software but even that didn't make a difference. I have files of similar format that transfered no problem but they were all just 5 minute song clips. That's why I thought there might be a limit for single files but it appears not after seeing the replies here. I'll play around with it again tomorrow when I'm more awake and alert.

Thanks for the replies anyway lads.

I've also used my Zen to watch movies that are longer than 2 hours.

Try using Super to convert the original wmv into Zen friendly format.
