I'm not an expert on work and jobs but I had a similar problem recently. What I did was change the format of my CV so that it didn't have a cronological list of my previous jobs. Instead, I listed them under headings which were relevant to the new job: project management experience, quality development etc and slotted the older jobs in where relevant. They obviously didn't hate that way of doing it because I've got an interview next week.

Put down all the jobs that are the most relevant on your CV. The main thing I think is try keep you CV at one to two pages. So try get as many on there as possible. If you have to leave some off put the ones in that are most relevant and the ones where you spent the most time in the job. Then provide a note saying a more detailed breakdown of my work experience can be provided upon request.

I would agree with that general statement. If you have big list of jobs & some are not relevant just include 1-2 lines just so you have accounted for the gap in CV. If say you traveled for a year with 3-4 irrelevant jobs then probbaly no need to list individually.

I don't like gaps in CVs or overlapping dates.
