    it's a vietnamese martial art.

there's usually someone doing it at one of them demo's on eurosport at some stage in the year.

very ju jitsu and hapkido like stuff.

That's right, I remember him he came to Ireland as a refugee, I have'nt heard of him in about 10 years, there was another club doing it in Sligo but it turned into a kickboxing club.

I tried searching on the internet but found nothing, I might have a look in the attic and see if there is anything in my collection of Irish Fighter mags, I do remember a small piece about him in one of the first Irish martial art magazines in 1992 called I think Irish Warrior? it had one of Jim Fitzpatrick's images on the cover any one remember that?

I trained with Mr. Nguyen in Dun Laoghaire for a number of years and we had a few other clubs around that area and also in the Vietnamese centre in City Centre. This is going back to early 90's. I am looking for Louis if anyone knows where he is gone to.

Is the Vietnamese centre still there? I used to do the door on that place during the late 90's. I can't remember any martial arts there at the time though.

Yea, we did a few classes in the Vietnamese centre over northside of the city centre somewhere, god forgive me but I cant remember, getting old and all, however, we only did a few classes before the old boys playing chess got peeved with us. Ahhh that was the life.
