Problems with Fujipix.ie

Recently I got an email informing me of fujipix.ie, a new online prinitng service.

Once registerede you get 20 free 7*5 prints so i decided to give it a try.

Uploaded a few pics on Monday 18 June and ordered (Prepaid) 20 of one and three others for collection from one of their nominated labs/shops the next day. The 20 were time sensitive as they were to be used as a presentation item to a local football club at their end of season awards night last Friday.

I left it 'til Wednesday afternoon to collect the prints but the shop told me they had online problems and would call me when processed.

I sent off an email to Fuji themselves but they never responded.

As I was in the vicinity of the shop today I called in to be met with a "eh, did you not get them yet, sure you were in last Wednesday".

The assistant rang the owner who tried to explain it away saying there were teething problems with his internet connection to the Fuji server and that he has tried to fulfil the order and had been in contact with Fuji themselves regarding the problem to no avail. He seriosly sounded annoyed with Fuji considering the captial investment he made when signing up to provide this new service.

The situation now is that the shop will continue to try download the files from the central server and will contact me as soon as they are ready.

In a nutshell both Fuji Ireland and the store have lost me as a customer with Photobox getting my custom from now.

    Rant over

Now you know what I'm going to say here, but I'll say it anyway.
If the pictures were important, why didn't you take a copy of them to the shop with you and get them printed there and then?

The problem with downloading would have been circumvented.

I half expected you'd be one to commnet:D

Thankfully, I had anticipated "Murphy's Law" and had the usb key with me. Went to another local lab where I had them printed within 10 minutes.
