nitro laquer ?

    Howdy..

    Can someone give me an example of a guitar which has a nitro laquer finish.

    I'm curious...

    Old Fenders and Gibsons from the 50s and 60s were finished in nitro. It's not as tough as the thick poly finishes on most guitars these days so if you play lots you'll wear it away and, if you believe the hype, has magical sonic qualities that make the guitar sound better as if fairies had done a blessed dance around it in the factory. Most people probably wouldn't be able to hear the difference.
