    What's the story with painting a dish? Not necessarily like that, but to even match the colour of your house etc?

    Can you just use normal paint on the inside surface of the dish? Does it not affect it's reflection??

    yep you can use matt paint, not glossy, metallic or shiny.
    You want to concentrate the microwaves only but ironically a shiny finish could cook your lnb by concentating hot sunlight on it.
    On the other hand, if you want to do some environmentally friendly cooking in the desert ;)
