Maybe it is just me but I lost all signals at the weekend and they have not come back, perhaps the signal is being sent to the Cairn,by a new method?.could I have been intercepting the RBR?(Re-broadcast relay.

There is no rebroadcast of the DTT.
    Just the two primary transmitters

Do we assume then that they are connected by microwave links?
At one point I was receiving the full signal on a Lidl £5 set top amplified aerial, next minute zero, going back to the original set up,wide band aerial and amp , still zero for four days now,is all lost and why?.
I know we should not expect to receive anything re the trial, but they told Marconi there was 2k of ocean between us and the US,due to the Earths curviature, but he kept up his interest and here we all are,God help us..

They can turn it on/off/fta/encrypted as they like. It's not a public service.

Some sites are microwave and some fibre. Since the Analogue TV is fed via Digital signals, it may not use separate physical feeds to the two transmitter sites. The origination is in CityWest. The RTE do not run the trial.

I can no longer receve the mux on CH53, although CH57 and CH60 are coming in fine. So all I can receive now are the encrypted channels, great(!)

Never mind, they're back now, but the CH53 channels have the same lower signal now as the rest of the channels so I'm getting the odd break up now and again. Also the radio channels on CH57 and CH60 sound awful. Really really bad sound quality.
