CN do, or did, provide an alarm as part of the premium. That might be a way.

I got a "Datatool Red" alarm fitted by a great guy called Joe (based in Kinnegad) and I'm delighted with it! He does a great job and he really knows his stuff!

I had to go back a few weeks later to get the Acumen Beeper installed (should have got that before going down to get the alarm fitted) but other than that I'm delighted! I think it cost me around €300~400 EUR to get all this done...

Please PM me if you wish to obtain Joe's phone number!

I got Yamaha's alarm/immobiliser for my bike, cost around €400. CN wouldn't insure me without it, but AON dont care if you have one or not in my experience.

    Thanks for the replies lads.
Just wondering, surely you can tell a bit of a white lie to get around CN.

Joes work is top class. And he only uses alarms that dont give trouble.... And i dont think he even has a Scotch connector in his place!
He has done 3 alarms for me and all were excellent.
This time I went with a Honda alarm, well... because I could, and it plugs directly into the loom... other than that, joe is your man.

I remember going to Joe because you recommended him Dok and I have to admit I am delighted with my alarm/immobiliser! It works perfectly (including the beeper) and I never had a single issue with it! The alarm never goes off accidentally (in windy conditions) and although I had big worries regarding the battery I have had no issues whatsoever!

Top class job by Joe and top class alarm by Datatool!
