    Hi all,
Just wondering which is the best way to go for cheap flights to Paris? There is Air France and Aer Lingus, both much of a muchness. Ryanair fly there too, well outside the city, is there any train form there to the city directly?

    Cheers,
    M

Aer Lingus would be best value I think. Ryanair could be cheaper, you can get a bus to the train station in Beauvais and get a train from there.

there's a link directly from beauvais airport to the centre of paris, a 10 minute walk from the arc de triomphe.

    check www.aeroportbeauvais.com for more info

The bus from beauvais takes around a hour and a half so count that into your flight times plus its around 28 euro return too

Ryanair have a sale on at the moment. Certainly some bargains to be got if you are looking to fly at the right time

The flights to Beauvais will be cheaper, there is a train station in Beauvais but it is awkard to get from there to Paris. plus the station is miles away from the airport. if i was you I would go to CDG with aer lingus. less hassle, better service and you dont have to leave Paris ages before your flight. The bus from Beauvais stops outside the james joyce pub in Paris and leaves from a carpark pretty close to the pub

if this is is any way related to ireland in paris for the world cup then your best bet is to get a cheap ryanair flight to east midlands and then get a cheap bmibaby flight from there to charles de gaulle airport. If you don't mind a connecting flight then thats probably the cheapest option out there. Might still be at non world cup times if its soon you're going but some good suggestions above.

Air France use cityjet who I wouldn't recommend because of appalling service in the past.

Used to do CDG-DUB quite often. AF-CityJet is no worse than Aer Lingus; arguably the service is better and if using the RER into the city, they use a more convenient terminal at CDG (although the CDGval has reduced that advantage)

As for Ryanair, the bus itself is fine but the problem is that it drops you out in Porte Maillot... a 20 minute ride on Metro Line 1 from Chatelet. Fine at off peak times but crush loadings in the morning and evening (until at least 8.30pm). No fun at all with luggage.
