    Hi all,
i bought a 00 Accord at the weekend, private sale. Lovely car to drive, 2.0 auto, everything fine and dandy except........

i noticed one of my brake lights has gone. Had a root thru' the boot, but there's no compartment or access to the light clusters that's immediately obvious, short of removing the complete boot liner (its that carpet sorta lining) :o

Anyone here have a similar model who could let me know how to get at the lights? I didnt get a handbook with the car.

    Cheers

    1. Open the trunk lid and pull back the trunk side trim (see section 20).
    2. Disconnect the 6P connector from the taillight.
    3. Remove the four mounting nuts, then pull out the taillight.
    NOTE:
Inspect the gasket; replace it if it is distorted or stays compressed.
After installing the taillights, run water over them to make sure they do not leak.
    BRAKE LIGHT : 21W
    TURN SIGNAL LIGHT: 21W
    BACK-UP LIGHT: 21W
    REAR FOG LIGHT: 21W
    PARKING LIGHT: 5W

Thanks JHMEG, i was passing a Honda dealer (the one at Glenageary roundabout, also a Citroen dealer) and dropped into the very helpful lads in the parts dept, who told me how to access the light clusters.

7 Hondas later, and I've never had a leak! As the manual says (posted above) replace the gaskets if water is getting in around the lights.
