Creative zen v+ 4gb problem

    I bought the player few months ago,it was working fine and dandy until two ago i noticed the brightness of the screen had decreased along with a 2 cm red line on the display. It's inside the display rather than an external stratch,later on that night the whole screen had turned a pale red and today there is nothing on the screen. The player still works it's just the screen is the problem, the only recent things that changed with the player was i installed the american firmware otherwise working fine and was not dropped.

    Also,if i go to the shop at this point am i entitled to one off the shelf or will it have to be sent away lark?

    if you have a receipt you can technically get a replacement from the shop then and there, although they will most likely try and make you send it away, but the law is on your side here if you are willing to do a bit of back and forth arguing.

    do you think id need the boxes and so on? or just the cables and unit?

    having the boxes would be nice, but you don't need them, just all the included stuff. (if you have the boxes it'd make things go smoother)

    now that i think of it i lost the usb cable :( had to buy a replacement so probly end up sending it away
