Broken Hinge!!

    Hey,

Got my Nintendo DS Lite at around October of last year, and around 3 months ago my hinge cracked but I didn't bother getting it fixed. Just there today I threw it on a soft bed (not very hard) and the hinge sorta ripped open if thats a good way of describing it. Anyway was just wondering if Nintendo would fix it for free, taking into account that my DS Lite was previously flashed.

If I can get it fixed for free can someone tell me what I have to do to get it fixed, I would rather not make phone calls because normally making phone calls to companies takes quite a while to get the matter solved. Anyway all help would be appreciated.

    Thanks,
    WarZoneBrother.

Really doubtful that they'd do it if you got it flashed I'd guess...

Ye I know, was told theres a way of getting the flashed firmware off it by something like reflash but I am sort of mixed up with all of that.

YOU broke your DS and you want Nintendo to fix it for you for free?

    Can't see that happening!

My sister had a similar thing happen to her DS Phat. Although the offending party in this case was a door.

I'm sure Nintendo have a repair service. For which there is more than likely a fee.

I was completely unaware of this hinge problem. Just checked mine. There seems to be a crack on the left side too :(
