I'm currently using a 1Gb Lexar Professional flash card however I need to buy another card (back-up for holidays). I intend puchasing online from 7dayshop.com, what make and speed should I go for to have a comparable one to the Lexar or do I need to upgrade?
Does the speed make much difference to downloading to the PC afterwards or is it solely for storing as you take the picture?

    What camera are you using?

I find that the Sandisk Extreme IV 2GB card is the fastest.

It really depends what you need, what you want and how much you want to spend.

Using it with a Nikon D70s and I use it for family, lanscape and sometimes (on continous mode) for some rugby pics - scrums and lineouts mainly.

Pricewise - I'll pay for what I need but was thinking of around €25-35.

The Lexar Pro's are great cards, about €32 in Gunns if I remember correctly.

Other than that, go with Sandisk...Fuji are alright, and Kinston are quite good too. Speed will only make a difference up to a certain point tbh, and I'd say at the Lexar Pro, it's running with your buffer.
