ebay and visa.

    I'm not a regular ebayer, I was stung a few years back, ebay mediated and even though robbed I still ended up with a bad strike, still makes my blood boil.
    Anyway, I decided to buy an intercom system for the bike, one seller had them cheap, a good record and a shop,and he also accepted direct payment by credit card to the UK,so i went for it.I clicked the pay now button and was directed to their shop and the andale payment page, entered my details (ebay had most on record) and paid. I got a message saying my address was not validated because it was different to the card,(which it wasn't) so I changed the details, moved the region etc,thinking that because Dublin was down twice maybe visa were not accepting it. I did this 4 times and then changed cards and still got the message so I phoned my bank to ask why they were not accepting it. We did, they said, four times,it's been validated.Well cancel all of them, I said. We can't,she said,sorry. The vender MAY not put them through.I was gobbsmacked,because of an error in validating my card, I can be charged 4 times, if it suits the vender, and visa will allow it even though I have objected.I phoned the vender and they had the details,and hopefully all has been sorted, but the lesson is if paying by card on ebay just click pay once, even if the page tells you of a problem it has still been validated and can be drawn from your account.I'm just hoping the vender is honest otherwise I 'll have another large resentment and a smaller bank balance.

    I used 3v to buy a jersey from Arsenal.com and it would not accept it. It had a message saying the transaction will not be accept if both the card address and the delivery address are not the same. So I changed it and tried, since we have no postal codes I thought that might be the problem.
    I had put €70 on the card. But then went to 3v's website to view the transactions and saw the cost with the currency rate and all turned out at €70.73

    Now you have me wondering was that card charged lol. I'll know when they send me back the cheque for the first once since I had to go buy a new one (voucher).
