Just wondering what peoples lines are here.

My table image is generally tight. Played with villain a few times, seems fairly abc

do you take the free card or bet turn? ever fire on river if you miss?

    jackpot 40 last night.

blinds 25/50 im playing about 3500, villain (a boadsie) just covers.

im a little bit misty on the details so bear with me.

im in lp (co or hj) with 10s 8s. 3 or 4 limpers and i limp also.

    flop Kx Js Qs

villain in sb leads for 200, conor calls and i make it 1000 (?)

villain takes a few seconds, calls, and checks dark.

    turn is a brick

    hero...

The check in the dark is strange. I probably take the free card and give up on the river if he checks a blank card to you.

I don't particularly like your flop raise to be honest. You have pretty much committed yourself to semi bluffing away half your chips. If you were playing deeper I would check behind for sure, but I think the pot size is too big at this point, however, I am not sure if shoving the turn is just compounding the flop raise mistake or a winning play. If you check and miss then I reckon he will bet a blank river a lot here and you can't do anything about it. If you check and hit then you may well have had the worse draw anyhow.

In summary, as played I probably shove, but I don't get to this position in the first place.

I think you're in trouble whatever you do. I don't think you're getting him off the hand if you push so what's the point? Take the free card. The only problem with taking the free card is if you hit, because there's a good possibility he has a bigger draw.

Were you raising to try to get him off the hand or to get a free card? If it's the former it hasn't worked and I don't think it will work on the turn either - the raise was too big and he called anyway. If it's the latter then why change your mind?

Take the free card and hope you don't hit :D

all-in sure you have a flush draw and a straight draw. im not the best at the "maths" but from listening to the two serious lookin players that i donk with every sunday id say your gonna win here about 126% of the time. Obviously in this spot id rather have ace rag unsuited for the nut gutshot draw but i suppose its a good a time as any to throw away the wifes lotto winnings

I guess if it's funny in 1 thread it's going to be funny in 'em all right?

Take the free card, if you hit then shove... If you hit the flush/straight your definitely ahead....

Your stack will be around the same size as the pot, if you dont hit then you have to assess how weak your oppenent is and if he would fold top pair/middle pair against an all in.. If he checks again i'd shove it.

i'd put him on a weak K/Q and doesn't know where he stands. The check in the dark is probably just a move to try slow you down.
