deleting programmes off laptops

    How do i delete aim messenger off my mac laptop?
    I hate it and i need to get it off,
    but the instructions on the help page are for windows i think.

    Uhm I usually just do a spotlight and remove all plists etc etc. Gotta be a bit careful though, just in case you trash something not related to AIM. I would trash the app, any folders in app support and then do a spotlight for relevant files. Bung any plists in the trash but dont empty it straight away, just in case you have accidentally trashed something else.

    You can use a program called AppZapper (there's another similar shareware one) that will do the job for you. It doesn't get rid of everything, but most things.

    appdelete. you can download it from apple.com

    you simply drag the application icon onto the appdelete icon and it removes everything to do with that application.
