I was going to head to this if Donegal were drawn to play in the south/east of the country but as they are playing in Carrick on Shannon it makes sence to go to Donegal for the weekend, should be a good tournment though.

Did anyone go to this............what was the standard like???

I didnt stay for the final stages but Garret Gray won it - he's been on fire recently so no great surprise . I dont recall who he beat in the final :( . Others in the last 8 included Shane O Connor , who came through probably the toughest of the boards , playing some great darts , and Alan O Reilly , a very promising young player . I'll ask around to try and fill in the blanks ....

    Did you play nessyguin?

If so, how did you get on and was it a high standard?

I bombed out in the first round to Ian Brinks :( . The standard was very mixed in the early rounds - saw a few games go to 30+ darts but also plenty around 15-18 darts and a few 12 darters . Overall I'd say you need to be steady on the 18-21 mark to make progress in the early stages of a tournament like this - with the ability to raise your game when needed . The first rounds were best of 7 , btw ...
