Cast iron bath legs?

We are redoing our bathroom and are using a second hand cast iron bath. Problem is that three of the legs are missing. We've tried a few salvage yards for spares to no avail. Are these necessary or could wood or metal be used to prop it up (it won't be visible as we plan to tile the side)? Alternatively, could new legs be welded for it if replacements can't be found.

Funny, I was talking to a bath resurfacing company about this very issue 10 minutes ago. The girl thought a leg could be welded on, but she didn't know who might do it. Our bath has only 3 legs and it was on blocks for years without any problem - I imagine any kind of wooden cradle would work if it's going to be tiled in, as long as it's level?

Look up "Scrap Iron and Metals" in the yellow pages ...... even if they don't let you look around, if you show them the leg you are looking for (and with the promise of a suitable quantity of Yo Yo's) I bet you they will find you a set of legs .... :p
