I'm being serious here.:( My keys have been missing since Sunday. Has my 2 year old actually found the perfect hiding place because I've looked in, on, under and behing everything, twice. Does the dodgy drunken character who appeared in our garden on Sunday have something to do with it? Will I have to change the locks and worry forever that one of the cars will be stolen during the night? I'm pretty much housebound til I sort this out, and I'm in the bad books, the really bad books, with my other half :(

So seriously folks, if you have nothing better for doing please take a moment to do whatever it is you do, cards, mediumship, clairvoyance, remote viewing.. or just plain old logic and give me some clues if you can.

    The reward is a {{BIG CYBER HUG}}

Have you looked in the hall behind any tables/shelves they might have fallen behind?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 25,243 ✭✭✭✭Jesus Wept

Where was the last place you had them?

    :D:p:rolleyes::D

Aisling. Thanks. I just went and re-checked everything in the hallway but alas they're not there :(

The Rigger ho ho! If I knew that etc etc....

Seriously, the last time I know I definitely had them was at 3pm on Sunday. I had left the engine running for a few minutes becaue my child was asleep in the car. I remember reaching and turning off the engine but I don't remember if I took the keys out or not. They have to be somewhere between my house (in or around) and the village, a 2 minute walk away unles the drunken dodgy man did take them.

    sigh....:(

I really hope that dodgy man didn't take them and you find them soon! :)

Thanks Aisling. Me too. it's driving me nuts at this stage!

Try the dustbin. My toddler threw my keys in the bin a few weeks ago. After 3 hours and a minor tantrum (from me, not the child) Daddy came home and emptied the bins.....

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 4,832 ✭✭✭littlebug

    Thanks KtK.
I've just gone through every bin in the house (some of which I hadn't acually checked before, inclusing the stinky nappy bin.. yuk) but no go.

I've one more place to check outside but I've got to wait til the rain stops. Fingers crossed.

    down behind the cushons?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 994 ✭✭✭kshiel

Did you put away any gorcery or put a load of washing on after you came in, maybe you put them away with the groceries or with the washing. Under the seat of the car either? Hope you find them, I have found mine in some unusal places like the fridge.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,258 ✭✭✭MrVestek

I have them. I might be willing to part with them for a nominal fee...

Check your pockets.... and your kids pockets....:) And the linings etc. Amazing where keys can get hidden.

And after that, stop looking. Go have a cup of tea. End of the day a locksmith can recut keys for all your locks. (even the car) so itll get sorted.

And inspiration might strike when you stop looking!

Nope but I did find lots of missing jigsaw pieces!

kshiel I'm thinking the same.. I have been known to put stupid things in the fridge and freezer but so far my search has been fruitless. All the wash baskets have all been cleared out now and nothing there either.
(beginning to wonder if this was an elaborate hoax by my hubby to make me tidy the house :p )

Achilles describe them to a T and I'll give you a fiver :p

KtK I'll put the kettle on!

Ooh just realised what I said... Yes I am in the West and I do put strange things in the freezer sometimes but I have never put a body in a freezer  :o

My psychic powers tell me that the keys are down behind your bed. Or perhaps behind your child's bed.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 4,832 ✭✭✭littlebug

back to psychic school Zillah:p ... I had checked under the beds before but when I saw your post I ran up and pulled up all the mattresses etc but still no sign.

    But thanks for trying :)

    Check behind the radiators/heaters.

Just as well, really. If Zillah had been right it might have wrecked his whole world view.

Right now hes giggling, im sure. :)

REALLY hope you find them soon littlebug.

LittleBug, was your car locked when you went back to it? If so, chances are that you took the keys out and locked the car afterwards.

Did you put the baby down somewhere to let him/her sleep after taking him/her out of the car? If so where? Keys might be there.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 4,832 ✭✭✭littlebug

Thaedydal... checked all the radiators just now and they're not there. Lots of cobwebs though. I'm tellin' ya... it's all part of a cruel conspiracy to make me clean the house.

Rosiejoe.. I don't know :o I did drive to the shops later but I used hubby’s keys. I honestly can’t remember if it was locked.

I woke up in a panic last night thinking I heard someone trying the front door! This is really bugging me now… time to change the locks I think. I do however still need to check the field across the road...I’ll put me wellies on for that one.

    Thanks for your suggestions people.

Stevenmu or PSI apologies if you think this thread isn't really belonging in paranormal. Feel free to move it/ lock it whatever you think but all paranormal theories/ visions are still welcome as I’m all out of ideas!

    :(:(:(

I am genuinely shocked and appalled that I can't use the power of my mind to detect the location of metal objects possibly hundreds of miles from my location.

    Shocked and appalled :)

But then again I'm fairly certain that a solar flare was messing with my reception...this time I'm sure they're in amongst some plants near the car itself...

PS: I am also loving the fact that littlebug will feel compelled to check where ever we suggest just in case ^_^ Uh, Australia, they're in the Irish embassy in Australia...

    I know I know :o
That said someone here might just think of somewhere I haven't checked yet... I hadn't actually looked under the mattresses or behind the radiators. There is a big bushy plant beside the car and I've sort of glanced in it but now (not right now,.. neighbours will think i'm nuts...6.50am) I will check it properly so thank you Zillah.

    Littlebug,

did you check everywhere in the car. Try under all the seats, including the child seat. Try the boot as well, just in case you took anything out of it before taking the little one in.

Not going to be a nice job replacing the locks on the car, especially if it is new and has central locking from the key fob.:(

The image of books or magazines are in my head. Maybe they are hidden amongst a pile?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,952 ✭✭✭✭Stoner

littlebug, I decided to jump in. I lost my wallet too, must have been on sunday as I could not find it on Monday.

If you guys could help it would be great, I've tried everywhere suggested to Littlebug,

If this works I'm suggesting a "Where's my" THREAD.

Anyway do your worst, Grimes , and Zillah I dont want your help :D

I'll also start agreeing with Kshiel

This might make a good sticky if it goes on for a while (and we have any success :) ).

Stoner, for the wallet I'm thinking it could be under a car seat, maybe fell out of your pocket getting in or out.

Littlebug, thinking of the keys I'm getting a picture of a shelf in a press, a low down one and there's a packet of those brown bran biscuity-cracker things standing up.

    Good luck both of you.

    Silence!

I'm telling you, the wallet was left near or on a coffee table. I associate a brother, or brotherly friend with this table.

Success eh? Not yet but keep trying good people.

Stoner I think you'll find your wallet is in the bank. Not that you left it there but someone found it and it has made it's way there. Someone will ring you about it in the next few days.

Did anyone else lose anything on Sunday?

this is turning out to be a good little thread, good one littlebug. Anyway Littlebug if you haven't found your keys yet here is something i do try and have had sucess with, put it this way it cannot hurt to try. Sit quietly somewhere, visualise your keys in your mind hold the image and then ask where are they and let what comes come and go from there.

Stoner, for me I think your wallet is lodged beside your car seat.

    .

Stevenmu , that's strange because I honestly think that it what happened. Lately I have been stashing my wallet under the car seat when I dont need it. I parked in the park and I'm fairly sure that I did this, I have already looked under the seat a few times as I am convinced that I did this, seriously (BTW it's not there) My plan was to go and check out where I parked my car and went for a walk

That happened to me once when my daughter was 2. When I spring cleaned the house I found them between the side of the counter and the cooker. If you reckon the child hid them they may well ne some please the child could drop or slide them into.

Good luck...I know what it''s like (and I can no longer blame it on a 2 year old!!);)

    Stoner: your wallet is gone.

Luckily my psychic powers aren't up to scratch,so you may find it if you call a pub/shop. or in a pocket. or somewhere I haven't mentioned :D

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,952 ✭✭✭✭Stoner

returned to the park this morning and there was no sign of my wallet, I hope i get that call, must cancel the access control card for work while i think of it.
I emptied the car last night and its not there.
And it's not in Mikes apartment 6th, only people with no money or place to stay go there.

My keys have been found! A neighbour found them on the front wall of another neighbours house. Of course I now have a vague vague memory of stopping there last Sunday to tie my lace.
    Thanks for all your help!

Stoner I hope you get that call soon.
