    Hi all

I have a query on how I would finish between the roof and the blockwork - i.e where the blocks cant sit on the roof . ( see attached pics )
Does this have to be battened out, framed with OSB and then plastered over?? I assume I can put additional insulation in the framed out section.

    Hi

You are correct in that you will have to batten it out but use a better plywood than OSB otherwise it will rot over time. You can insulate but this depends on how think you need to come to finish flush with te blockwork so it all plasters at the same level.

U will need to baton it out as Keit said but on the OSB or probably marine ply, u willl need to attach expanding metal so that it can be plastered on.

You could always use cerment based board instead of OSB or ply, finished plaster is less likely to crack at the join with the blocks.
