Your Worst Day

Stories please, obviously light-hearted ones that dont involve tragedy!....Here's my effort:

Years ago I had a pilot job interview with BA....I got to London mid-afternoon the day before and headed to the airport hotel (had a around 100 stg and no credit card) only to be told by the nice man that the room (in a ****ty Days Inn) would be 100stg (all I had). Screw that, I said and walked aimlessly thinking I'd hit a B&B (in my interview suit and new shoes on a 30 degree day).
4 hours and a lap of Heathrow later, I got back to the same hotel fit for tears, drenched with sweat and pleaded with the guy to give me a room for 60 which he did. Just as I was settling down I realised I had no passport photo's which I needed to give over at the interview. Cue me running to terminal 4 (still in my suit) and getting back around an hour later (still in my suit).
Went asleep eventually only to be awoken and kept awake all night by a massive storm. Was like a zombie doing the interview. Got to Heathrow without a penny only to find that the flight had been delayed 3 hours because of the storm. I was so bloody happy to get home, and no I didn't get the job!

Just taken from another thread on a similar subject.

The worst end to a day I had was when I first moved into drumchondra (only about 6 weeks ago). I was on the train from Sligo to Dublin and because it was a bank holiday Monday it didn't stop in Drumchondra (why? ). So got to connelly station and bought a ticket for the dart to drumchondra (pissed that I had just passed by the bloody station. I went through the ticket validation thing and made my way to the platform.
I realised that there wasn't any trains heading to Maynooth so I asked one of the guys who stands at the ticket vaidation thing when the next train to Drumchondra was. He informed me that the trains didn't go to Drumchondra on a bank holiday Monday (why? ).
Got a refund for my ticket and made my way to O' Connell St and to get the bus. Hopped on the 16 or 16A (can't remember) and popped in my earphones and sat contently lookin out the window just glad I would soon be able to collapse on my bed.
But in my haste to get the bus I didn't realise that I had gotten the bus on the wrong side of the road :o . It took me about 5 or 6 stops to realise this :( . I hopped off that bus with no idea where the fúck I was and waited for the next bus to O' Connell St. When I eventually got there I got a taxi straight to my front door (I wasn't taking any chances with the bus again :D ). It cost me about €8 but it was the best €8 I ever spent. Got in the door, went up to my room, dumped my stuff on the ground and just passed out on the bed.

Maybe not my worst day, but definitely up there with my dumbest....

Woke up after a night on the tiles in a bit of a daze....got out of bed, and grabbed a top to get dressed....so as I grab the top (near the bottom of a pile of clothes), my ipod slides off the top of the pile and right into the pint of water I left beside my bed from the night before. The ipod smashes the pint glass as they collide. In a feeble attempt to stop my ipod from being drowned I made a dive for it, but it was too late! The end result saw me standing in the room with a bloody hand (cut on the smashed pint glass as I tried to save the ipod), smashed glass all over the place and an ipod with a lot of rare stuff on it (didn't have a backup of it of course) completely destroyed....oh, and one mutha of a hangover to deal with....

    Good times.....
