OP Price is pretty much the same everywhere. If you wait though the head of Sony has said the price will be dropped close to Christmas, and that's when the PS3 will come into it's own with the good games that are scheduled for release.

They are class as has been said price may drop for xmas , why they would announce that now and risk loosing out on summer sales is beyond me but its up to you at the momment they are 630 xtra vision will give you a free blue ray movie ( limted choice) and remote . If you wait untill say harvey norman has a sale ( 10% of everything type thing ) you may bag one cheaper .


Great machine the one and only time ive bought a console that has met my expectations ive allways been dissapointed by them before .

Xbox is also a good machine but reliabilty problems would mean i wouldnt recomend it in case it breaks on you . mine gives a disk read error every day.:(

thanks for the advice guys, i'm not in a huge rush to buy it so i will wait till around xmas. if i do buy it, it will be for gta4, thats the only game i'm looking forward to seeing on it so far

Just an fyi, but the downloadable content for GTA IV will be exclusive to the Xbox 360. You'll still get the main game on the PS3 alright and on the same day as the X360, but not the extra content, which at $25 million a pop, better be substantial!

As far as I know that downloadable content will be coming to the PS3, albeit at a later date. Microsoft apparently paid megabucks to get it first.
