In 1957 in Tulsa they decided to make a time capsule and they put in a new 57 plymouth. However as you can see here some water got in.

Bet they didn't expect the concrete tomb to fill up with water, they should have left a drain !!

If you look through the pictures there, one says "1957 Plymouth Belvedere, A priceless classic in 2007 "...........I dont think so !!!

In this case, "priceless" means €0...

I said this in the same thread in the motors section, they either should have put the car in a tomb above ground (like Lenin's tomb), or if they had to bury it, at least make the coffin out of plastic or bakelite, something that wouldn't decay for a few thousand years. Concrete though was a terrible choice.

If they left it parked in a civic building it would be in a lot better condition, in fact putting it anywhere would have been preferable, its a pity it leaked. At least we know how not to build time capsules now!

Maybe we could put a 2007 landcruiser, in wood quay!
