    Howdy all, have home premium sitting on the shelf since release and was wondering if it would be a good time to install it now - has microsoft released a lot of patches now, anybody install it on a Vaio

    Well things have been moving along well enough with apps but it's not at SP1 yet and there are still the occasional quirks and poor driver support from certain vendors.

    What are the specifications of the laptop ?

    its fine, go ahead and install, it's not like you have mission critical stuff running on your laptop

    I've been using it since February without any problems. I like it. I do have a fast PC with lots of ram though :)

    using it on a c2d with 2GB RAM (a key issue in vista methinks). so far i've had no issues, and my main use for the pc is graphics stuff (photoshop, maya), music (reason, cubase) and games...
