    Evening all,
Right I think this question has been asked about 9000000 times already but I need to ask it again.
I am looking to lose some weight and get in shape.
I am currently about 27, 6ft and 15.5 stone. I am looking to lose some fat off my belly and chest while adding some strength to up arms.
I have access to a gym, play alot of football and golf.
Baiscally whats the best way to go about this.
Normally when at the gym I would do 30 mins on the bike, 20 mins on the rowing machine then 40-50 mins doing various weights, free weight or the machine.

Whats the most effective way to drop weight off the mentioned areas, also am I better doing this first thing in the morning or in the evning after work, does it make a difference.

I am new to this exercise craic but want to take it seriously and get results.
ANY advice you can give will be much apreciated.
    Cheers

To lose fat you need to have a look at your diet. Loads of info outlined in the stickies so have a read through.

I have found that doing TBT (total body training) a great way to burn fat, just make sure that when you are weight training your include loads of compound lifts (squats, deadlifts pull-ups etc). if you want you can to post your current rountine for feedback.

As regard to the timing, there is a lot of varying opinions but i think whenever you can gaurantee (is easiest to get your sessions) is probably the best. Though i dont recommend weight training on an empty stomach, so if you cant get a meal in before the gym spilt your sessions into cardio and weights. if your doing them together do weights first then cardio!
