Budget crude multiroom audio - amp advice needed

    Hi
I want to get some multiroom audio going on in the house.
Multi rooms working the one source'll do for a start. (But would like to be able to work multiple sources in future)

I reckon i need an amp in the downstairs cupboard that is outputting to 4 rooms (8 speakers).
All 4 rooms don't have to be on the go at the one time. 2 would be loads to start with. So, what kind of power do I need on the amp?

Any ideas on what amp to go for / or where to research one?

I think i'll use an ipod and wireless logitech transmitter to run the music off.

    Any advice appreciated.

check out the russound a-bus system, you can start with 1 input to 4 outputs ie-zones, and upgrade later to 4 inputs 8 outputs. simple just change the hub,
the keypads have a stereo amp built in so all you to do is run your speaker wire to keypad, and run cat5e cable from keypad to hub. simple, only thing is keypad has only volume control all other functions you have to use remote control. if you want to furture proof your home i'd recommend the next system up the cas44. diff wiring scheme but its the standard way. all wiring is run from 1 location. best thing to do is run cat5 and speaker wire everywhere around the house, and you can add exta zone when you have the cash.
also they have i pod docks that you can control from keypads
