S-Video versus Scart

    Quick question,

I've just bought a Samsung 32" LCD, and the picture when playing DVDs can sometimes be "blurry", especially when displaying moving objects. My DVD player has a scart output and an S-Video output. I'm currently using a Scart connection - would S-Video provide a better picture?

depends on your tv. on mine (Panasonic TH-42PX70 42" plasma) s-video makes a difference.

try it and see. it should make a noticeable difference.

Check the DVD player that it is set to output scart RGB instead of regular scart which is equivalent to composite video.

Scart RGB should be better in picture quality than s-video.

It might be worth just getting an upscaling HDMI equipped DVD player though & simply get the best IQ you can given their low cost these days.
