sky+ problem

    Hello everybody. My sky+ box is acting up a lot lately these last few days. It is freezing the picture of whatever show I am watching and most of the time, the only way to get it working again is to change channels. Is there anythign I can do or is it necessary to call an engineer? Thanks in advance

    Hi,

    I am having a similar SKY + problem - picture freezing. It seems to happen when I am recording something else.

    Any suggestions on how to proceed.

    Enter the hidden enginner menu by entering the services menu

    Then press 4 to enter system setup
    then press 0,1 select on the keypad

    Option 8 will wipe any existing recordings on your harddrive or try the planner rebuild..this will take a few minutes and will reset the box to standby when finished.

    Hopefully this will sort your problem, however only use the housekeeping if you are happy to lose your recordings.
