I'm just about to network 2 laptops and 3 PCs an i want them to share an internet conenction. Normally you would use an ADSL router but my internet connection is via one of Three's(www.three.ie) new data modems (cant get ADSL) and I'm not sure if a router is the right way to go. Can anyone help?

    Thanks,
    Mike

    Hi Mike,
I had the vodafone version of same but in the datacard format rather than the usb modem. I was able to pick up a linksys wireless router that had a slot for the card and the router also had 4 lan ports on board. If it was possible for you to ask 3 fopr a datacard rather than the usb modem i think you would be sorted. The datacards and slots are pretty specific so be aware of that.

    Linksys router:

Lastly, if you should follow this path, you will need to order that router specificall as it i not a standard piece of kit, i would be in a position to sort you out there as i have trade accounts with many of the IT wholesalers.

    Thanks Richard,
You've pointed me in the right direction. It looks like I've found the right piece of kit, it's the Draytek Vigor 2910VG. (http://www.draytek.co.uk/products/vigor2910.html)

    Thanks again,
    Mike
