Wow that's a bloody good price alright. As cheap as getting propane, not bad at all.

if that's the right price i think ill be ordering some...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,337 ✭✭✭moneyman

Oisin, how much is shipping? I'll be ordering a bottle or two soon, don't want to go emailing them to find out the price if you already know it.

And do they combine shipping? If I wanted BBs as well?

The site at the moment doesn't have your usual shopping basket style feature that you'd be used to.

If you want something, you have to make an account and then send them an email detailing what it is and they'll get back to you with an invoice.

I don't know what the postal charges yet. However, a couple of bottles of gas from Northern Ireland couldn't be too much.

anyone know what this gas is like, brand wise...not familiar with it..i am sure its all pretty much the same...just wondering has anyone used it.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 60 ✭✭frozenbullet

Never used it before but it must be alright since there is an advertisement for it on airsoft international (ai)

I got this very gas from this very site.
They ignored my emails on 3 different occasions and took 3 weeks to arrive.

The gas nozzle also baffled me, it's the standard nozzle for all mags, except its made from metal and no matter what way I tried to get gas in, loads of it would spill all over the place. i'd say I wasted close to half the entire bottle on gas pouring everywhere on loading.

It is also very powerful gas, not for use in Western Arms models apparently.

Can you remember what date or month did you order on??
    What did you pay by??

if you ordered it around the time that they were setting up their shop in downpatrick, then the delay happened with alot of their orders around then due to several mix-ups, although i dont know of anyone that has ordered from them since and if their response times have improved

Yeh, like others have said it was around the change-over time of their site. However, I ordered a good week and a half before their site changed and it still hadn't arrived, I emailed them and they said they had problems with the post shipping gas and they would arrange a courier.

More days went by and nothing. I emailed them, got ignored and then the same again. Then 3 weeks later the gas had managed to travel the less than 100 mile distance to my house.

I was going to place a big MP5 order with them, but i'm going elsewhere now, probably fire-support. Cheaper shipping with them too believe it or not.

Just an update for anyone who's interested. Two bottles of gas plus shipping came to 26 euro. So 13 euro per bottle. Not bad.

    Hope it's shipped out quickly.

I'm surprised nobody has mentioend tins of baked bins as a cheap source of gas yet. :p Would smell just as bad as the propane...

    1. I don't have the propane adapter.
    2. Nowhere around where I live sells propane in small tanks.
    3. This works out more or less the same price as a bottle of propane anyway.

    So :p

Eh for a quite a lot smaller tank for €2 more? But if thats all yu can get, wait, arent you in bray?

Yes, I'm in Bray. Looked everywhere. Cant find a thing. All shops seem to stock is that damn propane/butane mix which won't work. B&Q seems to be the only place. None around here.

The bottles are 1000ml. How much is in your average small propane bottle?
Unless there's considerably more than that, I don't mind paying 2 euro more if it means no propane smell :D

You dont notice the smell of it after a while.:p

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,414 ✭✭✭kdouglas

propane is also 1000ml as far as i know...

propane is still cheaper, but if you were to order a few bottles the shipping would become less of a factor.

might order a few, handy to have for when i dont want that lovely propane smell...

If propane is 1000ml too, then the only difference is the two euro per bottle.

Two euro to get rid of the smell and have it delivered to your door. :)

Think propane is bigger, mine seems to have lasted longer...dunno..says 400g only on the can.

Crazyrabbit tends to get in early and fast with such obvious quips. I'd be amazed to ever see anyone beat him to it :D

Also people seem to forget that the preprepared gases for airsoft come with a lubricant in them to keep your guns in tip-top shape! :D

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,414 ✭✭✭kdouglas

400g is the weight, it's a gas, so volume is about 1000ml i think....

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,341 ✭✭✭Fallschirmjager

well i think i will order some. i have the adaptor for propane, but as harekin says, the official gas has silicone already.
now the adaptor allows you to put a few drops to mix it as well...but its good to have an option and a fairly priced one as well..

Two drops of silicone oil into the propane nozzle before you put the adapter on does the exact same thing. A bottle costs 4 Euro and will last a very long time.

Plus, when you lube your own gas like that, theres that whole "I'm a *real* hands-on airsofter" vibe you get :D

And I waited ages for someone to post that joke. After a while I just couldn't hold back anymore!

Thought i'd just stick this in this post to keep it all together.

I never thought of looking on eBay for gas, but lo and behold, here's some cheap ass gas from airsoft-direct, only £8.75 delivered to Ireland. I'm sure they'd have to send it via surface mail, but that would take 2 weeks tops from the UK.

    Good value.

I got gas from Fire Support in 4 days, it might not take so long.

that's maintenance gas, it's got a higher concentration of lubricant in it than usual, it's also only 100ml, wouldn't last very long.
you want 750ml or 1L of green gas such as this
