I don't see these around anymore - have they been consigned to the past? The old buses thread reminded me of them. I used to regularly hop on board the mobile library when I was small in the early '80s.

I'm sure I saw one in the last 3-4 years somewhere (Finglas or Tallaght?) so they still exist or some All Things Retro head has bought an old one and converted it. :D

Fingal County Council provide a mobile library service in North County Dublin.

South Dublin County Council have one. I see it regularly. I used to see it in the Ballycullen/Woodstown/Firhouse area on Mondays when I used to live up that way.

    More info here.

The mobile libraries appear to be still travelling around Galway and the county.

There's at least two in South Kerry that I've seen in the last 6 months.

There was one that used to come to my area in Bristol when I was a kid, but I haven't seen one at all since I moved to Dublin. I thought they were a thing if the past too, Dudess.

Yep there's one in Blanchardstown. I used to use it when I was only a little girl! Before I could travel to Roselawn on my own lol.
