    i recently bought a skimboard off ebay and was wondering if anyone else skims here.
    Also which is the best beach in co. clare for big waves near the beach?

    Skimboarding rocks.

    Barley Cove in Cork is cool, one of my friends is capable of getting some decent air by sharply turning into a wave and using it as a launch ramp.

    In Dublin, Sandy Mount Strand is smooth and nice, if you don't mind pollution...

    most of sandymount has those ripples of sand on the ground which are not good but there are some decent spots, watch out for quicksand!
