BA to states, checkin via heathrow

I'll be flying to the states tomorrow, going dublin to heathrow and heathrow to denver. Flights are all booked with BA and I don't seem to have access to the aerlingus part to london for advance checkin (should I?).

The advance check-in for the longer part of the trip should be open in ~2 hours, but if I can't check-in the first part from Dublin is it wise to go ahead and checkin the 2nd part online? I've never done this before so don't know if it'd cause complications for me getting checked in all the way to the states, whether I'd have to go through security a 2nd time at heathrow, or whether it's preferable to do that anyway (and if so what happens to baggage?)?

My time between flights at heathrow is approx 2hrs, any help appreciated!

You should be booked all the way through to denver - from my own experience when you check in at Dublin and going to the US, your baggage is checked all the way through to the final destination, you get two boarding cards - one for each leg of the trip and you should not normally have to check in again at heathrow - you should just get off the dublin flight and not have to go "landside" at heathrow. But i'd ring BA just to be certain - i'm not so sure about the advance check in issue either. Also i'd assume although it's BA tickets, you would actually fly on an Aer Lingus plane to heathrow so be aware of differing cabin baggage standards.

Cheers dogmatix - Carry on allowance should be fine and yeah, I'm expecting two boarding tickets. Logically if they're seperate tickets then that answers a large part of my question :)
