    Hi Folks,

Just let me introduce myself to this fourm.

Im 29, been driving a 50cc MBK ovetto for the last 12 months, I have had my full car licience for the last couple of years.

I am looking to upgrade to a fully fledged motorbike, can anyone reccommend a good place for lessons basically within the M50 ring. A friend of mine has said 'Ill take you out for a spin and show ya' but I would perfer to get some lessons from a professional.

Also looking at a 125cc Honda Varedero as a first bike, is this a good selection or is it back to the drawing board.....?

Thanks for your time and any feedback(constructive) is welcome
    Typh00n

Try these guys I used them .... found them great, good new bikes, & they're AON approved to grade for any insurance requirements...

and yeah the varedero is a good starter, it will also be easy on the insurance, but you may get bored of it fairly fast, when I first started i was on a ns180, people told me to go for a cbr250 as it has a bit more in it but I didnt listen, but that all depends on what your riding style is, im now on a transalp and cant be happier, well I will be once I get a cbr600

I would recommend signing up for the fingal 'star rider' program
3 days (12 hours) for 225Euro. They say they take you to 'better than full licence' standard.
You won't get cheaper (and it's run by the same qualified instructors who offer lessons private)

I recently changed from cage to car and blogged my journey - you may find useful info on how to change....

    good luck..

Varadero's a good bike. It's solid and fast for its engine/insurance class.

As said though, you may get a little bored quite quickly.

you'll need to do the new bike theory test, and apply for an A1/A provisional license also (may know this already, but not seen it mentioned)

Hey there. Varedero is good bike but don't go for 125cc. You're gonna get bored of it to easy.
