Just got an Archos AV500, Its great but the volume at max is a little on the tame side. Anyone know of a way of increasing the beef?

You can toggle the loudspeaker on and off.

Tame at 100, really? I usually watch videos at volumes 3-12 and listen to music around the 18-30 volume mark. Perhaps you should invest in a decent set of earphones

Yeah I should have said update the firmware too. There's one thing about archos that pisses me off, once a product is out over 9months they never release new firmware updates, and it's not because the product has reached a state of perfection either.

both. Its not crazy low or anything, Its just not quite loud enough to block everything out when walking down the street etc. updated firmware but no difference.
I mean it doesnt sound like its "faulty" low, like I said its just that the max volume isnt loud enough for me.
