Working grand here, must be a fault somewhere in your setup - box/dish/cabling.

Try unplugging your digibox for a few minutes and see if that might fix it.

cheers ive done that and phoned sky, they say it may be a broadcast issue, if not they want to send out an engineer. (I think it would be better to cancel my sky and get a new installation under girlfriends name) than get out an engineer and pay their fee

What error is it giving ?

Won't be a broadcast issue, we are all watching the same satellites.....

It was the storms I think. Last night I could see a big storm cloud with thunder crossing the sky, as soon as it started passing between my dish and the satellite I lost signal for about 30 mins.

I can appreciate that a group of clouds with electrical activity of the millions of volts, carrying thousands of liters of water can disrupt a signal from a satellite.

    hmmm

I tape Monday Night Raw every week on sky sports 3. This week ( the 11th) it was on from 1am to 4am and i watched the first 1 hour and 20 minutes of it ( i play football every monday night and i am made awake for ages after it) Anyway, as i was watching it, i was taping it and i could see the little red light, it was on. Turned off my tv at 2.20am the red light was on and i went to sleep.

The next day when i went to watch it, it said part recorded, start missed due to power cut. The last 43 minutes of the show was all that was recorded. So from 3.15 to 4 am is all that was recorded.

Is this power cut reason it gave me a load of --blank-- how could the part of the show i saw been taped get lost. Also if there was a power cut i would have known, house alarm, radio alarm clock and so on....

Maybe the power dropped voltage for a short period, which affected the Sky+ but didn't affect other things?

I notice it happen from time to time. Light bulbs go dim, and some things just go off, while others continue to work.

I guess it's down to tolerance of components to drops in voltage.

Exact same thing happened to me aswell, was actually watching Raw live (1am - 4am) Tuesday morning, and at about 3.30am my Sky turned itself off I turned it back on straight away and it only recorded the last 30 mins.

Nothing else electrical went off, so it must have been a Sky problem.

Triple H just out of interest have you got the "anytime" update yet? wasn't that suppose to have an "auto standby" feature. I still haven't got it, maybe it was going to download it Tuesday morning and i interrupted it.

i rang sky this evening and threatened to cancel my sky, they said they'd have an engineer out on Saturday and and dropped the fee to 50.

sky have now introdruced a signal to be sent to sky+ boxes to put them on standby at 1 am to save power, you will see a warning on the sky+ box that it is about to do it,if you dont want it to go on stsndby just press backup.
