Hi everyone, I am doing a bit of market research, and would be very interested to know how many of you use golf buggies (the ones you drive) when golfing.

    Cheers, Dave

Is this the result you were hoping for EI-DAV?

yea the results arent so bad for what i'm looking for. the thing about is is though, the typical user of a buggy isnt necessarily the typical user of the internet on a frequent basis.

Would never use a cart unless forced to do so (I lived in the US for a while and on many courses over there walking is actively discouraged or even banned at busy times, ostensibly to speed up play).

Playing from a cart is not golf - I prefer to call it "cart ball."

anyone using golf buggy should be shot, unless they have a medical reason to do so.

pull carts and/or electric carts are bad enough imo, but I'd settle for a leg shot for those people.

Only when I'm hungover and there's a cheap one available.

There's a debate going on in my club back in scotland about this just now. two weeks ago they had their 36 hole championship qualifier. Two guys who made the last 16 used buggies. They are in their 50's. Many in the club feel they have an unfair advantage over the rest. (there are only a few buggies in the club for hire so not everyone can get one). I'd tend to agree as there si no way those two guys would have made it in if they had had to walk like everyone else. walking your way around the course is just as much a part of the game as swinging the club and hitting the ball in my opinion.

I used to love playing in a buggie. when I was a greenkeeper so with a buggie i could get a quick round in before work....used to take just over an hour.
